• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo provided during registration.
• Booking Data: Appointment history, service preferences, and barbershop interactions.
• Location Data: Your device's location (only when you grant permission) to find nearby barbershops.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and push notification tokens.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including pages viewed, features used, and time spent.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process bookings and send appointment confirmations
• Send appointment reminders and important notifications
• Personalize your experience and show relevant barbershops
• Communicate updates, promotions, and changes to our services
• Ensure the security and integrity of your account
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the App
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With Barbershops: When you book an appointment, we share your name, phone number, and booking details with the barbershop.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services to help us operate the App, including Supabase (data storage), Firebase (authentication, notifications, analytics), and Google Maps (location services).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your information for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security measures. We use Supabase for data storage with Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Firebase is used for authentication and push notifications. All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/SSL. While we implement robust security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can view your personal data through your profile in the App.
• Correction: You can update inaccurate information through the App's settings.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data through the App's settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
• Opt-out: You can disable push notifications through your device settings and opt out of marketing communications.

6. Location Data

We collect location data only when you explicitly grant permission through your device's location settings. Location data is used solely to display nearby barbershops and calculate distances. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. Location data is not stored permanently on our servers — it is used in real-time to provide location-based features.

7. Push Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications for:

• Appointment reminders (before your scheduled booking)
• Booking confirmations and status updates
• Important account and service updates

You can manage your notification preferences within the App's settings or disable notifications entirely through your device settings. We store device tokens securely and remove them when you log out or delete your account.

8. Cookies and Analytics

The Barberio mobile app does not use cookies. We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data to improve the App experience. This data includes app opens, screen views, and feature usage patterns. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. You can opt out of analytics collection through the App's settings.

9. Children's Privacy

Barberio is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
